While travel hasn’t been a huge focus for me this year, I’ve still gotten some good time off the grind with my Japan trip in May. So, I’ve also had the chance to fully test out the Biotherm Aquasource Everplump.
It’s marketed as the perfect hydrating and plumping moisturiser for women who want to #LiveMore and looking ever-ready for each day’s challenges. It boasts a gel-like formulation that is lightweight enough for even when you’re sweating it out. I may not be out hiking, doing yoga or muay thai training these days, but with my love for travel and hours under the sun exploring Singapore on weekends, a non-greasy, non-sticky, fast absorbed hydrating skincare product is welcome anytime.

I was prepared for my skin to become a little drier than usual on holiday. As it is, that’s my skin type even in humid Singapore. So, in addition to testing out the Biotherm Aquasource Everplump (From $55), I also gave the Biotherm Aquasource Essence-in-Mist ($39) a go.

Japan was in late spring when I visited, so the cold wind whipped relentlessly against my face at times. In the afternoons, it could get slightly warm but super dry. Even though I loved the weather, it’s not as forgiving on the skin. My face was well hydrated thanks to my skincare regimen, the palms of my hands would get rough and dry mid-day. Thankfully the moisturiser was sufficiently hydrating even over long hours. Morning to night? Absolutely.
I quickly fell in love with the texture. Touted to keep skin hydrated for up to 72 hours in a single application and containing Blue Hyaluron™, a naturally derived Hyaluronic Acid plumper, I was expecting it to be rich and perhaps even unbearable at times. Surprise, surprise! My skin “drank” up the Aquasource Everplump, leaving it “bouncy”, smooth and with a beautiful dewy glow. It also feels great in Singapore weather – tried and tested.
The Biotherm Aquasource Everplump is conveniently available in two sizes, a portable and travel-friendly 40ml tube ($55) (available exclusively from Sephora) and a 50ml jar ($69).

My instant perk-me-up: a spritz of refreshing and moisturising facial mist
I adore moisturising mists! I’m constantly spritzing myself when I’m in air-conditioned spaces or out under the hot sun and patting it into my skin. It gives my skin a nice dewiness, especially when my makeup (or just my face in general) looks tired. This one contains Biotherm’s Life Plankton™ Essence, Mannose and Glycerin which provides long-lasting hydration and encourages skin renewal.
While the skincare benefits are great and all, I really just use it because it works well even with makeup. It passes through makeup and still has a refreshing effect on my face.
The Aquasource Essence-in-Mist comes in a 75ml bottle ($39).

I am careful with my skincare these days. I take a little longer between beauty reviews these days just because I really want to rave about products I love. My skin isn’t as young and adaptable as six years ago when I first embarked on my beauty blogging journey. These days, I’ve noticed how sudden changes in my skincare, coupled with my existing heightened stress levels, can bring about an unwanted reaction. I try to use products over a longer period so that the true effectiveness can be seen, instead of stressing my skin out with constant rotation of new skincare products.
I wasn’t required to blog about the Biotherm Aquasource Everplump or Essence-in-Mist as part of my partnership with Biotherm. However, after testing them over three months, I found that both products suited my skin condition and lifestyle very well and I have no qualms on recommending them as Glow to Go Essentials!
